Does every inspiring story have a happy ending?
Sometimes you just know something is amiss. That’s the way I felt when I awakened on that particular morning. But it wasn’t until I sat down at the computer to read my morning email, that I knew I was in trouble. Oh my gosh! My eyes scanned the screen but they made no sense. No cognition! Absolutely NO cognition. I called my son Adam. We both knew the drill. He had been by my side just seven months earlier when I had a heart attack. But this one wasn’t a heart attack.
Finally at the ER, I knew enough to recognize the preciousness of time, that every passing second was an enemy standing in the way of my recovery. Why in the world did they need to weigh me when I arrived and ask questions I had no ability to answer?
