This inspiring story began when Adrienne was a medical resident at the Mayo Clinic. At 31 years of age, she felt called to lead a medical mission. That is when she and several college students traveled to a small village in Honduras. While she knew this trip would be quite a challenge, she was ill-prepared for what greeted her there. Surrounded by poverty like she had never witnessed before, she saw diseases she had only studied in textbooks. Adrienne herself even became ill with intestinal parasites. This trip to the tiny village of Chachahuala touched Adrienne in ways she could never have imagined.
