INSPIRING STORY OF THE WEEK
by DENICE COLEMAN
This is an inspiring story of love at first sight . . .
We see it first in these two devoted friends, Bella and Bubbles, who have been best pals since 2007. They take pure pleasure in the simple activities of life: swimming in the pool, playing games on the grass or just plain hanging out together. But whatever they are up to, it is obvious to all who watch that they enjoy one another’s company.
They met one day when Bubbles came down for a swim while Bella was splashing in the pool. Now, even nine years after that first meeting, the two still delight in sharing some of life’s simple pleasures together. Although they are both adults, they often seem more like two playful children. Bella will get up on Bubble’s back or even on his head, just waiting for him to throw the ball high and far away. They can play water games such as this one for hours, yet when they get out of the water, their frolicking continues.
Bubbles lays down on the grass, puts his leg forward and entices Bella to climb aboard. She needs little encouragement because she likes swooshing down his leg, using it as a playground slide. Even when others pass by, the endearing relationship between the two friends remains visible. Their beautiful friendship runs so deep that some look on with awe while others with possible envy.
Another inspiring story of love at first sight . . .
Love at first sight . . . We see it again in spring story of the relationship between Charlie and Jack.
The tenderness between these friends is heartwarming, something most of us would love to have at some point in our lives. The friendships between these two pairs, Bubbles and Bella and Charlie and Jack might seem rather ordinary, but in fact they are quite extraordinary. You see, the most surprising part of this inspiring story is that Bubbles is a black lab and Bella, an African elephant. Furthermore, Charlie is a blind horse and Jack, a goat who takes it upon himself to be his friend’s seeing eye guide.
Bubbles and Bella are only one example of animal pairs who have developed unusually loving relationships. Denise shares inspiring stories of two other animal pairs in Best Friends. If you enjoy animal stories, even a little, you might just be blown away by these stories.
