by Micki Peluso
Micki’s most inspiring story shows us how she helped herself recover after the tragic loss of a child.
How would you like to have a magical garden, a place where you can retreat for a bit of rest and relaxation? Well that is exactly what Micki has created for herself – a magical meditation garden where she likes to go right before a nap or bedtime. Once inside, she walks down a long imaginary staircase to transport her at least four flights down. Somedays, when she is particularly tired, she uses an escalator.
When Micki reaches her destination, she looks through a set of large sliding glass doors leading to a beautiful countryside. Her garden is an Eden-like area of grass, flowers, trees and a small stream. Slowly animals appear and the air rings out with birdsong. A white snow owl , a large blue-gray Alpha wolf and his mate, a roly-poly black bear cub and a sweet doe, rabbits, raccoons and a red fox often join her. But it is the huge white duck that reminds Micki that she still has a sense of humor.
