Sharon S. Johnson

Winning Tales2Inspire® author,

for her story,

God Must Have Wanted Me to Smile

Sharon S. Johnson is the mother of two college-age daughters. She has been a lifelong musician, playing for church services, work events and other social activities. We are thrilled to report that her award-winning Tales2Inspire story, God Must Have Wanted Me to Smile, became the spearhead to launching her writing career. This poignant story of how, on the first year anniversary of her brother Mootsey’s death, a vibrantly colored red cardinal kept reappearing outside her window. She began to research the symbolic meaning of cardinals, only to discover many meaningful connections between her brother and this beautiful bird.

Since discovering her wordsmithing gifts, Sharon has released her very first Verses of Victory: a 31-day devotional to educate, motivate and stimulate those who seek victory.

Sharon is sometimes regretful over the realization that it’s possible, actually probable, that she has had this gift all her life and never tapped into it. But she has accepted the fact that perhaps she had to go through some things–experience some things–before this gift was allowed to fully surface. Now that she has knocked on the door, she plans to fling it wide open by writing every chance she gets and by sharing her inspiring messages with others.

Presently a writer for two digital Christian magazines,  Sharon is a music reviewer, feature article writer and interviewer for Faith Filled Family Magazine, and has just taken on a new assignment as a writer and social media presence for The Bottom Line.  She has written several devotionals for Journey Magazine, some of which are now on the shelves of Lifeway Christian Stores, and is also a member of faithwriters.com, an online community of Christian writers. Sharon wishes to acknowledge and thank God, her family, and friends for their unfailing support during her journey toward these awesome achievements.
