How do we handle the curve balls life throws our way? In this story, Jan shares a life inspiring message. She recounts details of two life threatening experiences that she has met head on.

Jan’s first wake up call arrived on a dismal mid-winter morning.  Although the road was slick with ice, she felt no cause for concern. Traffic had already slowed to a crawl so Jan expected nothing more than a routine commute to her job.  But then, a series of terrifying events occurred as Jan experienced a dangerous spin out.

Jan’s second wake up call came when she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. To beat the odds, she began to look more deeply into her own life. As she delved into studies about the harmful effects of negative thinking, a light bulb flickered. She needed to rid herself of the negative energy she had so carefully stored away. ingBut she realized that her mind still was awash with underlying resentments and regrets.

Today, twelve years after her advanced cancer prognosis, Jan is a motivational speaker, offering hope and optimism to packed room audiences. She shares a simple yet effective visualization technique, which she often has used herself. Jan is happy to pass along this healing technique to her friends, readers and live audiences of hundreds of others, to help them heal past hurts and move on.
